RMR helps iCore Networks Rank No. 29 on the 2009 Inc. 500 with Three-Year Sales Growth of 3,924%

MCLEAN, VA, August 13, 2009 — Inc. magazine announced yesterday that iCore Networks ranked in at number 29 on its 28th annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, GoDaddy, Under Armour, Jamba Juice, American Apparel, Oracle, and hundreds of other powerhouses gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

“If you want to know which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500,” said Inc. editor Jane Berentson. “These are the most dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones finding innovative solutions to problems, creating smart systems, and inventing products we soon discover we can’t live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine’s tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition.”

iCore Networks is the D.C. metro area’s leading provider of Voice over Private Internet (VoPI) services. iCore was started after Chairman and CEO Stephen Canton realized VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology could be used to give small and medium sized companies the same voice and data communications capabilities enjoyed by large organizations at a fraction of the cost. Signing up its first customer in 2004, iCore now services 20,000 business customers.

“This year marks our fifth-year anniversary and we are thrilled to be recognized on this list with so many other great companies,” Canton said. “This ranking is a testament to the performance of our team, the reliability of our network and the acquisition of new customers despite the economic meltdown. Coming off a strong performance in 2008 we’re headed in right direction, no question.”

The 2009 Inc. 500 unveiled in the September issue of Inc. magazine (available on newsstands on August 17) and on Inc.com, measures revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2005. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2008.
